Never one to sit on the sidelines, the ViacomCBS VetNet Staff facilitates and ensures action on the part of ViacomCBS to do right by our veterans where it matters most: with personal and professional development, career opportunities, and by offering mentoring and industry exposure.
VetNet offered Syracuse University student-veterans a tour of the Los Angeles CBS News station where they learned how the daily operations work. They were also featured live at the end of the morning news and had the opportunity to see the SEAL TEAM stage.
With Mentorship programs, in partnership with veteran organizations such as FourBlock and The Institute for Veterans and Military Families, the ViacomCBS Veterans Network provides life-changing mentoring, guidance, and career counseling for transitioning Veterans. In addition, ViacomCBS VetNet supports the Company with Veteran Internship programs and have supported 1,000+ Veterans and Military Families to date, through such programs.
VetNet teamed up with LinkedIn to present a “Rock Your Profile” session. This educational workshop consisted of tips and tricks on how to make your LinkedIn profile stand out, servicing nearly 200 military veterans, their families, and allies.
ViacomCBS Veterans Network, collaborated with NBCUniversal Veterans Network and FOX VETS to create an ongoing professional development series “Vetworking & Trivia Night”, which features a different guest speaker each event
