Military Appreciation

We aim to uplift, celebrate, and honor the invaluable service and sacrifice of our active-duty military, our nation’s 22 million Veterans, and their families. We show our support through a mix of social media PSAs, Awareness Campaigns, storytelling initiatives, community panels, and by offering media and entertainment experiences uniquely provided by ViacomCBS.

ViacomCBS Veterans Network and The New School’s student veteran organization, NSVA, attended a taping of THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT in New York City.

ViacomCBS Veterans Network hosted a Military Appreciation Panel, moderated by CBS News’ Jim Axelrod for ViacomCBS employees. Discussion touched upon: appreciation, impact, resilience and action. Panelists included Chief Veteran Officer Richard M. Jones, Purple Heart recipient Justin Constantine, SEAL TEAM’s Toni Trucks and THE TALK’s Sheryl Underwood.

This year, ViacomCBS Veterans Network hosted a “Virtual Coffee with Vets" Traditionally, “Coffee with Vets” would be held in-person in local coffee shops, across the nation. The ViacomCBS VetNet mission has always been to spread awareness and champion veteran initiatives internally and externally, and upholding the goal to reach as many veterans and military families as possible. The “Coffee with Vets” events allow the public to join veterans and local CBS station personnel to share their gratitude and stories over a cup of coffee together.
