The Veteran and Military Community faces a unique set of challenges that take a strong support network to overcome. We are privileged to be just one part of that amazing support network which works to combat the struggles and marginalization that countless veterans endure. ViacomCBS Veterans Network facilitates initiatives, events, and moments that create a shared sense of community and pride.

In September, for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the Veterans Network shared resources and information in support of the campaign.

ViacomCBS Veterans Network Leadership team wore purple on Oct. 15 on #SpiritDay in solidarity with LGBTQ+ youth, and to take a stand against bullying.

Although our ViacomCBS Veteran coworkers and military family members may pass, their stories, service, and our shared memories of them should not be forgotten. We invite our community to reflect, if they wish, in love and with a fullness of heart on our late ViacomCBS veteran coworkers and military family members at  our Memorial Page.

ViacomCBS Veterans Network’s exclusive interview with Tyler Grey, actor, producer and now a director on CBS’ SEAL TEAM is a message of living with your best foot forward. Grey discussed the leadup to his enlistment, his time in the army, overcoming a life-changing injury, and his transition to civilian life. The interview was conducted by Chris Chulack, director of SEAL TEAM.

On Nov. 10, PLUTO TV aired the 23rd NYC USMC Birthday Gala, in celebration of the 245th anniversary of the Marine Corps. It was produced by ViacomCBS Veterans Network, with Master of Ceremonies Jim Axelrod of CBS News. It was a moment of celebration broadcast into the homes of our beloved community, when otherwise the night would have been spent in isolation.
